Spiritual Bathing
The idea of bathing for spiritual purposes is centuries old. Christian, Hindu, Judaic, Muslim, Pagan, Indigenous peoples all have a long history of spiritual bathing. Many cultures believe rivers and waterfalls to be sacred and bath in them to rid themselves of unseen influences, unwanted energy or negative vibrations and to clean, refresh and maintain their spirit.
Spiritual bathing cannot heal any physical ailment and should NOT be done if you have any open wounds. If you have recently had surgery, please follow your doctor’s orders regarding full immersion baths.

Our bodies are mostly water, the earth is mostly water. Without it we cannot survive. Adding minerals, crystals, herbs and oils to water creates a potent healing device that refreshes, renews, protects and empowers one to achieve their desires.
What Can a Spiritual Bath Do for Me?
A spiritual bath refreshes the spirit, nurtures the soul, removes negativity, psychic "sludge" and brings in good energy, blessings, love, luck and success. Everyone comes into contact with negative people, negative attitudes and just general negative minutiae that flow thru the Universe. All that negativity builds up over time and can be made worse by people who are actively wishing you ill will. A series of spiritual baths will remove that and depending on your goals, protect you, enrich your life with love, luck, personal empowerment or career success.
Mother Mystic's Instructions for Spiritual Bathing
Spiritual bath materials should be diluted in spring water if possible, if not, tap water is fine. Herbs can be used directly in the bath, placed in a muslin bag under running water or used to make a tea to be added to the bath. Oils should be added directly to the bath water.
We recommend 2 methods of spiritual bathing. Both should be used AFTER you have taken your regular bath/shower with your usual soap and shampoo.
One is full immersion. Fill the tub and add the crystals/herbs/oil. At least once, completely submerge yourself for a few seconds. While in the tub, pray or chant or simply “speak your peace” asking for negative influences to be removed and/or positive influences to be absorbed. Let the water drain from the tub and concentrate on all negativity or “blocks” going down the drain. Wrap your head in a white towel and stand between 2 white candles and air dry. Speak to the Divine in your own words or use whatever prayers you are most comfortable with, asking for Divine influence in this matter. Do not bath/shower/shampoo for 24 hours.
The second method is to use a larger container to mix the water with the bath materials, stand in a tub and pour the mixture over your head with a pitcher, rubbing the mixture downwards on your body if you are removing negativity or rubbing upwards if you are bringing in positive influences (such as attraction, peace, healing etc.) Again, concentrate on all negativity going down the drain. Wrap your head in a white towel and allow your body to air dry while asking for Divine influence. Do not bath/shower/shampoo for 24 hours
For best results, spiritual baths should be taken for an odd number of days, from 3 to 13 days.
